I have a 2000 F-250 7.3 and I’ve recently been having a a leak from the front and back side of the evince. Could it be the Hpop o-rings and h-pop gasket? Previous owner did put a lot of silicone around the oil pan but I don’t see major leaks around the area
Oil in back side drips down on driver side . Oil cooler from a glance looks dry, not wet from any oil. I wouldn’t want to say it’s the turbo pedestal bc I had replaced it last year to a non-Ebv. I made sure the o-rings went in right and not missed it
On the front it drips down and gets all over the lower radiator hose.
I had a pesky oil leak from the passenger side HPOP hose fitting on the head. It was deceiving because the oil would seep out, run down the edge of the plenum toward the firewall and down to the valley and drain hole from there.
My point being that the leak may be staring you in the face and you may need some tools to get it sorted. A friend recommended a scope that came in handy, I have linked it below.
Since fixing that leak with a 1/8 turn of the fitting, the engine has developed another elusive leak that I have been unable to find thus far. In a bit, I plan to change the HPOP out for a fresh unit. Prior to that, I will take another's advice and use dye and an UV light to identify the source.
