I screwed up

94 F150 351W 5.8L V8 E4OD

As the title states.. I screwed up. Long story short, part of my wiring harness got caught on my belt and I'm sure caused a short. I didn't have them secured and out of the way like they should have been because I was clearing space while working in the engine bay. Started the truck to test a recalibrated TPS and shut it down immediately when it started acting like it wanted to die. I disconnected the battery and found the below sensors in this condition. All of the wires appear somehow intact and I'm able to separate them without issues - however obviously the thermoplastic is melted away and I'm sure they shorted against each other.

Can someone help me identify the two sensors on the passenger side of the throttle body? Previous owner deleted all smog components and I believe these sensors are related to those deleted parts. One just has a resister plugged into the sensor and the larger one I thought was a sensor to get around CEL for deleted EGR. Also - where/how should I start looking for shorts? Does anyone know if these circuits are fused? Wondering how bad this is... My plan is to inspect and clean the wires, cut and heat shrink the exposed wiring on both sides and reconnect with butt connectors. Was then going to check fuses. Do I need to worry about the computer as well? A hard lesson to learn... thanks for any input.

Seems to have caused electrical issues. Cleaned the wires, spliced them together - KOEO to test fuses - hearing what I believe is continuous fuel pump but louder than normal. Assuming my computer is toast. How can I go about further diagnosing what I assume are broader electrical issues?

These vehicles are pretty old - you can physically remove the PCM, and you should be able to open the case and see if there's any damage - i'd expect to see a capacitor or a resistor that's got a nasty brown stain on it if your computer is junk.

The connector on the right with the Red and Gray/Yellow wires goes to the canister purge (CANP) solenoid. The one on the left does appear to be for the EGR Valve Position (EVP) sensor. The CANP is fed +12 VDC from the EEC relay. The EVP is supplied power (VREF = +5 VDC) by the computer (PCM) and is grounded at Pin 46 of the PCM connector. VREF is supplied to a few other sensors on the engine. If VREF is out of range it will flag a code.
