Correct ECU for calibration code
Just recently purchased a 1990 F350 7.5 e40d found out it's has the wrong ECU in it the calibration code is very faded I can barely make it out from what I can tell it's 9-98A-R00 thanks

The Calibration Code you listed crosses over to the numbers posted by Subford from Ford documentation. Since the Engineering numbers are later than the model year of the truck I suspect there was a later change that superseded the original listing in 1990. Go with the numbers listed by one of the best resources we have on this forum.
