Has a Ford part number on it, google it.
I would but can't read it clearly.
I've been told that these numbers on the part itself are generally engineering numbers. Closely resembling a part number but not an actual part number. Supposedly the 4th digit will be Y or Z on part numbers.
That is NOT a dealer tool, it’s the gateway module for the truck that allows the 5-6 CAN bus networks talk to each other and the obd2 tool to talk to the 5-6 networks using only 2 wires. It’s the equivalent to a router that you use in your home network.

I concur, I looked under my dash when I got home and sure enough it has one too, its just happens to be very well secured to the dash. Question is, do all trucks from XL need one, or just higher trim trucks? Maybe that is why the OP's was loose.

All trim level trucks had it 2017 and up and 2015 up in the f150s
