I just put a new Bully Dog DPF on my 2010 F250. I bought a Veepeak ODB2 module and ODB Fusion app for my iPhone with the 2010 Ford Enhanced Diagnostics option. I can monitor a ton of sensors now. Does someone have a list of what some typical values should be (for exhaust back pressure, DPF pressure, EGTs, etc) or know where these can be looked up?
Thanks! I had the shop reset the computer DPF parameters on Friday. I'll log data on the way to work in the morning and try to put something up tomorrow evening.
OK, here is what ODB Fusion reads at various points. The silly thing actually started a cleaning cycle about 5 minutes into the drive when the DPF was at 1.9 psi. It's a brand new DPF!
Idle(brake on, 646 rpm, boost -1.6 psi) - DPF is 0.25 psi
18% throttle (1198 rpm, boost 6.5 psi) - DPF is 1.39 psi
100% throttle (2853 rpm, boost 25 psi (uphill)) - DPF is 7.17 psi
Just as I turned off the key in the parking lot at work, the message center said something about cleaning cycle complete, but I think it is probably wrong.
I was going to buy that dpf, but the technical folks could not explain how it could have 40% more flow and at the same time meet factory back pressure specs.
if you reduce the factory back pressure specs by 40% you will definitely get a check engine light.
i think the dpf is better than stock and if I would have kept my 6.4 would have probally bought one in the end.
Hopefully you will get more miles between complete active regents.
After you run this for a while, do us all a favor and post a review on amazon or where ever. To this day there is not a single review on this dpf.
