Sorry if this has been asked before in this forum.
2017 and the airbag light came on this weekend and has stayed on. Has anyone had this issue and what was the cause, and the cost to get it fixed? I’m assuming it’s a faulty sensor, as I have never been in an accident.
There are many things(dozens) that can cause the light to come on.
If the SRS light is not flashing a fault code (pattern), you will need to scan the SRS system to see if a fault code is stored or not. The complete diagnostic procedure is in the service manual.
It’s been a solid light, no flashing. I’m taking it in for an oil change and I’ll ask them to see what it’s about.
im just hoping it’s an easy (cheap) fix
Well, the dealer ran a check and a passenger side airbag sensor somehow broke and fell down into the door somehow/somewhere. Again, I’ve never been hit or in an accident. The total
cost before a dealer coupon I used, including a works oil change was $950!!!
