Gauge cluster swap issues
I recently swapped out my dash gauge cluster. Upgrading from the base model little stripe display to a 4" display type from the platinum or better options. I bought it on eBay and had it programmed, it supposedly was was from a 2014 however it doesn't work properly, specifically the in dash compass has completely disappeared and I don't have the overhead version, and the exhaust brake indicator doesn't work. Honestly I don't think it was built with the exhaust brake indicator at all. My truck is a 2015 so it had the factory exhaust brake. It works aside from that, and I have tried everything I can think of in forscan to adjust it. The original cluster had 4 lines of code, but the 2014 on has 3. That makes it much more complicated. So after some research I bought another one this time from a 2015, and everything on it works like I would expect, except it keeps restarting the cluster every 10 seconds. It has the 4 lines of code, and yet no matter what I put in it, it won't stay on. I've read something about the sync being an issue, I have version 1.1 on my truck and an aftermarket deck because the stock one died. Don't know what else could be causing the issue. Any ideas?
