Im not sure where to post this build but it probably belongs here.
I got a 78 F150 Super Cab with a flatbed a couple of years ago. I took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with it.
I am swapping the cab over to a 2000 Super Duty frame. Installing a 7.3 and a zf5, dana 80 rear and dana 60 front.
Its been alot of fun so far. I cant wait to drive it. Ill try to keep the thread updated with progress.
Seems like it would have been a great time to clean up and protect the super duty frame
Definitely agree. Didn’t think it was worth it on this build is all.
The cab will rust away around the frame first. It is a pretty rough cab with lots of rust in bad places. It’s bad enough that I got the 78 for free. If it was a standard cab I probably would have just passed up the offer.
If I had a nicer cab I would have definitely put in the effort on the frame. Going the rat rod route on this one.
Where are you located? I was trying to judge by the firewood, trees, and your shirtless neighbor, but no success. Awesome truck BTW. What a cool swap.
Thanks man. Appreciate it.
I don’t know if the “shirtless neighbor” was a trick to get me to go back over my pics, but I did and don’t see them.
The truck is in Colorado.
