Engine noise. Need help
Hey, I have an 86 6.9 idi and it is Knocking/ticking. It doesn’t do it at all when cold, only when warm and I’ve had the RPMS high for awhile. When it idles for awhile after making the noise it quiets down some.
I’ve replaced four suspected injectors, all pushrods, even head gaskets (not for this issue).
