What model Radiator Cap?
Hello, can anyone tell me which model radiator cap I need for my 1953 V8 flathead, please? The one fitted at the moment doesn't seal the radiator as the cap isn't long enough to reach the bottom of the radiator neck. The radiator is OEM.
Thank you for your help.

You will want a low pressure ~4psi, original Ford part number 1T-8100-A and has quite a few Ford applications, including tractors.
This seems to cross with the following:
GATES 31524
CARQUEST 10208
DURALAST 7004

Thank you for your quick reply. I'm visiting CO in a couple of weeks and will hopefully pick one up there.

Are.you sure your numbers didn't get jumbled? I show the correct one for application being the Stant 10208 under Napa
BK 7031412
Of course, this could also boil down to the multitudes of issues with cross reference databases.
Edit: Your part numbers cross for the 41A-8100-C used through 51

Good catch, you're right, missed that it is a 53. Stick with Stant, much better quality.
