Hi guys I'm struggling to find any good deep dish steel wheels for the 8x 170mm lug pattern on these trucks. Normally would not be an issue how ever I put 2000 SD axles in my obs witch in my opinion looks stupid with anything but the 8 spoke deep dish steelies the black ones with the red pin stripe.I can't find any where that has a wheel even close for this lug pattern I've found other than the stock ones to options that both suck any help would be appreciated. I know there out there my neighbor has had them on his super duty asl long as I've know him and he can't remember where they came from and won't sell them.
It *used to* be pretty easy to get custom steelies. That's how we used to get 15" wheels with 2.5" BS to clear D60 calipers back in the day.
I don't remember where we used to order from but contact some of the manufacturers like American Racing etc. Since steelies are two-piece it's really just a matter of convincing a manufacturer to grab a particular rim and center and weld them together, which is exactly what was happening as I mentioned -- except they'd flip the rim to account for the extremely low BS
At the time it wasn't that much more expensive than production wheel sets.
My neighbor is on vacation right now. He took the truck but he has these but with a red pin stripe on the lip I can't find them in the 8 x170 only the other a 8 lug pattern
