I am looking for a set of new production or NOS bed rails like pictured for a 79 f150 long bed. Dennis carpenter used to offer them but I see they aren’t listed anymore. I’ve been searching on google and haven’t found the exact style unless a specialty site has them and they just don’t pop up on a google search.
I bought my '77 in 1986, it had a perfect set on it. Came a day not long after I took them off for a fiberglass shell. In a moment of weakness, I sold them to a buddy for his truck. They didn't last a week before he bent them hauling firewood. I was a dummy to sell to him, would have been far better off just keeping them.
In point of fact, there was a rider lawnmower he bought as well as an '85 Thunderbird I should not have sold him.
Mine had them at one point and I’m returning it to as close to what it was when new as possible. A friend of mine has a new set from DC but is using them for his truck so I have to look elsewhere

I had 3 sets of long bed ones, a FTE member finally talked me out of one set for his show truck. I still have one LB set ON my silver 77 and one LB set in the parts shed. And I even have a short bed set in the parts shed. Just saying.
Keep an eye on ebay, with things like this sometimes that's the only way. I find almost everything I want there or on search tempest it just takes time. years sometimes.
There are some in the back of garages or under a bench. I remember take off sets leaning against the wall in the parts dept hoping someone would want them. everyone hated them and took them off as soon as they got home from the dealer, can't say I blame them.
