Running board lighting

Years ago I drove flat bed 1986 Peterbilt 359, nice truck and retired in 2014 when I bought my 1955 F-100. It’s been a real check book eater. But it’s about complete. Been working on the bed replacing just about all the missing hard ware. My last big expense was replacing my fuel rusted out 17 gallon tank. With a Taiwan repopulated version. In doing that I had to pull my Left running board. If you know Peterbilts they sport two Stainless air cleaners look like 30 gallon brums. Right in front of the doors. Well Hanna made a lighting kit that lit up the tops of those stainless air cleaners. And they were bright. Could not run them at nite while driving they blinded ya. Well I removed the lites and I put them away. Well I found a home. My running boards on my 55. Once a trucker always a trucker. Wife say (You Crazy) had to do a little hammer work on them running boards. But them lites are mounted white lights. And amber mix. Probably glass fuse them Six amps. Any body else out their done this? AJ.

Do you have a picture? i'd like to see what they ended up looking like? or are you saying you mounted them underneath for the glow effect?

Thanks for the response. Just installed the lights grain of wheat bulbs and I mounted them.under the outside lip.of the running board just for ground effect. I still need to finish installing the running board. And hook up the lights to power. If I like the nite effect I will do the other side. Just about have to remove the running board to install that part. Also need to fix a dent on the right running board. I've tried to post pictures several times. But it ain't happinning.AJ

I don't know why people have such a problem posting pictures on here, it's easy from a desktop or laptop, slightly more complex from a phone.
