2023 tailgate damper

Does anyone know if the 17-22 tailgate damper HC3Z-99406A10-A

will fit a 2023 XLT? I can't find a listing for the 23 model. Thanks.

Don't know about that particular one but I did put on an aftermarket one that only listed up to '22. Fit just fine on the '23. Did have to remove the tie down hook/bracket though.

I had the wrong part number….so disregard my input.

I tried and it was a no go for me. I have a 23 XL and the bracket in the kit did not align with the holes on the truck where you swap the tailgate bracket. If I remember correctly, there’s was going to be some interference with how the shock is placed.

I am going to wait to get the oem version since my previous one was hidden unlike the after market version I’ve seen.

I just installed one on my 23 XL no problem

I appreciate the information being provided….I realized I had the wrong part number and was wrong about the damper.

I am going to come back to this thread when I get a chance to order myself the correct damper. Thank again!
