I need help trying to find out what motor this is
There's little information on the inner webs but it's in a 1975 F350 4WD rolling frame if that helps
My daughter's machinist boss said it's a 390 but with a front Oil pan sump and the weight of the Truck I would think it should be a Big Block....any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you

It’s an FE originally from a 1974 truck. 360? 390? I would suspect with the front sump it’s from a 2wd and is in fact a 390.

The FE is a big block. measuring the stroke is the only way to know if it's a 360 or 390.
If it has a 4V on it with an iron intake most likely it's a 390 since they never made a 4V 360. , but someone could have put it on a 360.

The fact that it doesn't belong belong in a 4WD is enough for me to remove it from that F350 ....

The block does belong in that truck, but it would have been a 360 FE with a rear sump pan from the factory. I'm surprised the oil pan isn't bashed in because I have a 79 F150 that had a 360 with a front sump in it when I got it and the front axle was hitting the pan
