Wish I had a dollar for everyone that ordered a 350 but didn't need one.
i agree, if ya need one get one but if you don't then dont feel pressured into a f350. When i built my f250 as a f350 about 6 weeks ago f350 was over 1k more. Mines rated for over 16k i believe and has a 3,941 payload -- 23' f250 7.3 ccsb.
Good Morning I only drove the "goat" pick ups for the past 20yrs and my wife and I needed a truck to pull a 10,000 lbs max RV so we did some research and yesterday we ordered a F250 Lariat with the bis gasser in it.Thank Y'all
Congrats. All these folks riding you for getting an F250 vs. 350.....wow.
Opinions are like belly buttons. Everyone has one: some are cute, some are ugly, all have some lint in them.
I think you are in the sweet spot for a 7.3 Godzilla motor and F250 IF you stay at 10k on the RV.
If you go bigger, you will want the dual rear wheels and F350.
I towed 9800 pounds for 5 years with my F250, and it was a very successful combination. I can't speak to the gasser motor though, mine was the 6.7 . But lots of chatter here and at at local campgrounds where I go about the big motor being good at moving a load and getting it down the road.
Kepp us posted when you get it.

You start off chastising the guys admonishing him for the F250 decision, then you go propagating the myth even further saying that if he goes over 10K on his trailer he will need a F350 DUALLY, and that is just BS.
i just got a f250 2023 7.3l about 2 months ago and i am loving it except as one might think the fuel mileage is not as good as the f150 but tows my trailer so much better. i got the 4x4 with 3.73 gears and it will pull 17k according to ford hell i hardley even notice the trailer behind me now. headed to west virginia in a couple of weeks and will see how it does over the fancy gap on i77.now mine is only a xlt short bed, so it only has the 34 gal tank
I think starting in 2020, Ford engineers nailed it with the rear leaf pack for the F250 for people who don't regularly tow more than 15k or so. With my CCLB, empty it rides so well I had to double check first time I took delivery of mine to make sure it wasn't an F150, since when I bought mine in early 22, there were no 7.3 trucks to test drive. For trades people who care about payload, the ~3k payload with gas engines is fantastic and what also matters is it doesn't bounce and wear you out on deadhead runs.
