Hi guys, I was wondering if somebody could tell me what these two bushings are called. I just replaced my steering stabilizer and while doing so I realized the bar that the stabilizer bolts into was moving quite a bit to the point where I could slam metal to metal. So far that's the only thing I can find that's loose in anything to do with steering and suspension. I've got a real serious problem with the whole death wobble thing. One of my shocks was leaking fluid and the steering damper had no pressure at all. So far I've replaced all four shocks and the steering damper with all blistein 5100. Everything I read about the death wobble says it happens at speeds over a 45 mph. It's happening to me even at 25 mph. Since I replaced the shocks and damper, the problem has gotten significantly better but it still happening so I figured I would replace those bushings but I have no idea what they are. I'm by no means of mechanic but I am pretty handy. Thanks in advance!
What you have circled are the drag links. Neither of those have replaceable " Bushings" the rubber would be dust boots.
Hope this helps
I see. So when I removed the steering damper, is it normal for me to be able to rotate that bar? Counterclockwise and clockwise about a half inch to where I can bang metal to metal?
if it moves at the joints side to side it is normal, Vertical movement at the joints is not normal and should be replaced.
It is designed to move as the axle flexes, it can give the shakes and vibrations if these are worn excessively
Hope it helps

Yeah it only rotates. It doesn't move up and down. Well back to my search... Thanks for your help!
I suggest looking at those u-joints on your front axle, they appear to be worn from the images you posted. that may cause the shakes as well.

I've had bad u-joints before, this is definitely not that it only happens when I hit a series of small bumps and it shakes so violently that The only way I can stop it is to come to a complete stop.
I'd take a look for seized up front axle u-joints or a loose track bar bushing. When the 2005-2007 were new we had a lot of concerns under warranty for death wobble. The tire pressure has to be set pretty high per Ford's TSB and some of those track bar ball joints were loose brand new. Use a long bar to check it for lateral play.
A quick little test for your track bar is have someone sit in the cab and rock the steering wheel back n forth (1 second oscillations) while your looking at the bushings (the one behind the pitman arm - to drag link that you've circled). If they are bad you will have movement and you'll also be able to observe the tires and fenders for the truck moving side-to-side over the axle. Your drag (steering) link will likely rotate axially as per your concern, but if you can see them kinda look like a double jointed thumb moving in the socket you'll need to replace either the drag link (long part) or the Right outer upper tie rod end (may be known with other names, and the lower is also a right-outer-tie rod) which would be the shorter dude on the right side.
