Door Lock Actuator Expert needed
I have the panel off and want to know the next steps to a successful actuator replacement on my 2000 f250sd.
Do you remove the whole door latch? This is a mess....please help!!!

I need to replace both actuators on my 200 F350.. is there any faq with part numbers and instructions for this. (My extended warentee was only 72k miles, im at 90k so I guess I have to do it or pay.

Just as a possibility to consider... I have replaced acturators on both my 92 F-150 and on a 74 Cadillac. On both these vehicles I had previously had alarms installed, so when I started having problems with the actuators, I went back to the alarm dealer and had him put in after-market actuators that were a lot cheaper than the factory units and work as well if not better.

I had to replace all of mine on my 2000 crewcab it was easier than I thought. I bought some on ebay they were new and are the same ones the alarm people use. I paid $3.00 each plus shipping they come with instructions and all the hardware. I just had to drill 2 small holes to attach the actuator and mounted them inline with the old ones and just spliced in the wires. Works perfect and does not take to long to do. Hope this helps. Al
