Looking for
looking for a GOOD 239 block.
Bought a 239,8BA and thought it had a good block only to find it was cracked. I am looking for a GOOD 239 block.
Thanks for the information, I found one of the cracks and it did patch. When I filled the engine with water I found several others.
A GOOD block for a 239,8BA ,( the older model with the distributor on the right front of the motor). I bought a motor with a supposedly good block only to find it cracked. Patched one crack but found some more. Thanks in advance for any help.

Just an FYI, many blocks these days have inconsequential cracks or cracks that can be repaired. Blocks that would have been discarded a few years ago are now being repaired as supply of perfect blocks has greatly diminished.
If you're up for a road trip and have a truck...
