I'm trying to find a Bug shield for my 2023 Super Duty but not having any luck. Does anyone know if the ones for a '22 will fit a '23 ? I appreciate the help, boomer
I stopped in at my Ford dealer yesterday to pick one up for my '23. They had two types, one smooth with the debossed lettering and the other one without lettering that was textured. Both had 3M high bond tape around the perimeter that adhered to the hood. I have a few other SuperDuties and they all have Ford brand lexan bug shields with tabs that attach to the underside of the hood with screws. There is no way I am going to stick a deflector down to my hood with VHB tape. Hopefully someone will come along with a solution. The pre-2023 ones will not work as the hood is a total new design.
Not sure about year fitment. But I've used AVS Aeroskins on my trucks for many years. They're tape on but have never loosened or come off through many years of automatic car washes and many NY/Canada border winters. In fact they're on so securely that I just let them go if I trade trucks. Pretty sure I'd break them trying to remove.
Never used one of these. Do they only protect the front of the hood or are they supposed to deflect bugs and other debris up and over the windshield at highway speeds? Would it help keep my windshield cleaner?
Thanks.

Good question. I'm looking at this to protect the big bullnose on my front end from wear and tear. If it actually keeps my windshield cleaner would be a bonus.

My taped on Aeroskin works surprisingly well keeping bugs off the windshield, and I agree with Poncho, it ain't going anywhere! To each his own, but I really like the look of mine better than the ones that are gapped above the hood.

That does look nice. I'd have to sacrifice my TuSkinz up front, though I wonder if I could place them onto the screen...
For those that have the taped variety, what do you do w/ the inevitable dirt/grime that gets between the shield and the hood? I assume its easier to clean the ones that install w/ the gap, and easier to remove as well if needed?

Hard to tell from the photo but kshoop's Aeroskin looks to be like mine, which is kind of a crinkle finish matte black. Haven't shopped in a while but AVS also made the smooth smoke color if you wanted something more suitable for graphics.
