Most, if not all. But he was just stating his experience. Considering most people I know run Full Synthetic, I bet most of their problems happen when they run full synthetic too.

Still waiting for a great 7.3 gas oil debate thread to see which I will run. First N/A engine in 8 years and didn’t tow before then and never asked what Ford put in there.

I’m just saying that a guy that says he has 22 years experience is giving his opinion. He even said we will know in the future.

Thats not nice. Weren’t you just discussing how your son is Ford Tech? But since he works mainly on diesels then they are the problem. Everyone is too sensitive about their engine choice. JMO as a non-tech that didn’t get no C’s.

Gazzilla - For the record, I'm not the 22 year ford tech. That's a different guy who chimed in on that thread. Cajun something...I don't blame him for walking away. He was trying to be helpful with his experience and well you saw what happened.

I'm going on my 22nd year as a Ford tech. There is so much misinformation and opinions on here it's comical at this point. We recommend the syn blend for just about all engines in the ford line-up. When someone comes in with their amsoil or their mobil 1 and wants that in their vehicle we put it in. I'll never understand why people feel like their smarter than ford but hey not my problem. The issues with the 7.3L is something to watch, we're seeing more and more issues it seems.
