Motor mounts

Did motor mounts get changed in-between the 7th and 9th generations. I saw something about the front cross member being different so i want to make sure if i have to buy motor mounts when i swap the latter into the former

Not sure what a 7th generation or a 9th generation is. For the 1980-86 trucks they had two different crossmembers. One for the 460's and the diesels, and all the other engines got the other crossmember.

7th is the 80-86 aka bullnoses and 9th is 92-96/aeronose well lets hope that cross member design stayed for... 10 years

Can't you look up the part number, on say, Advance auto parts site for both trucks and see what the picture shows.

yeah, sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees. Looks like the later years has a taller mount in one spot..(?)
