2023 updates? (Software)

I had a 2023 platinum F150 and the software updates were coming OTA (over the air) on a regular basis, maybe 3 in 3 months.

My 2023 F250 Lariat Ultimate has had none. Yes I have it connected to Wi-Fi at the house, but still cannot add a trailer, using default.

Has anyone else had any kind of update?

What makes you think there has been any updates available???
My 2022 in nearly two years I think has had maybe 2, and they were BS crap that hasn't made any difference that I have noticed.

Because the 2023’s in F250 or F150’s are the same and the 2022’s are not.

My 21 F-150 went almost 18 months without an update and then received an update last month. It may be that there are no updates yet that need to be pushed to MY23. I will add that while I wasn’t getting updates, there were others that had received updates and where on a software version newer than what I had and that leads me to believe Ford pushes updates in batches to prevent their servers from crashing.

My 21 Plat F150 was basically brain dead for the first 2 years. Had Blue cruise installed couple weeks ago, which updated everything and now had 3 updates since.

Maybe that’s the difference my 2023 F150 had blue cruise and my 2023 F250 does not have it,

Good morning- I can look into this for you. Feel free to send over a private message with your VIN and dealership information at your earliest convenience.

I guarantee you any updates are NOT the same between F150 and F250.

Ford Motor Company, you offered to help answer a question about why a dash warning light was laminating on my truck about a month ago and never did, even after I sent my vin and the dealer I purchased from. What gives, why are you asking for vins and not answering the PM?

Yes I gave the information and they asked for a lot more information to get a solution. I am not that trustworthy when it comes to dealing with people blindly asking for that personal information.

I will just stop by Ford dealer when I get my oil changed and let them look at it.

I'm ready for the update that brings the compass back, that enables the gauge cluster to remember the last screen, that gets rid of the stupid seatbelt screen, and that stops re-enabling the stupid trailer tow navigation after you disable it.

And that's just after the first week of ownership.

I would tend to agree with you on that... and particularly the 'last screen' and 'seatbelt' screen part. I'm also a little taken aback by how crude... and how sloooooowwwww... the interface is. I came out of a '17 Chevrolet with basically the same level of display, and that thing would run rings around this junker. Commodore 64?

No blue cruise on SD's. When they installed blue cruise on my 150, they had to do a slew of updates before installing blue cruise, which took a bunch extra time for a total of 8 hours, but it brought everything upto date, which OTA updates were previously lacking big time. They had sync versions that locked up on the 2021's. Ok now. I think some OTA updates require the truck to be parked, locked with emergency brake on, and others update while driving. No WIFI needed for OTA since they have their own modem build in, which is of the two black things on the roof
