Post Rear Wheel removal

I tried to get the rear wheels off my Excursion this evening and could not get them off (31k and they have never been off). Is it just stuck by the paint on the end of the axle or is there something holding it on? Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks

No seems the aluminum rims and the steel(iron?) rotors like each other... a LOT! It can be a two person affair to get it off. ME? I just doused it with good ole WD-40 till I could break it free by hand.

Upon re-install. Clean off ALL the WD-40 over spray...especially from the rotors!!!! and put some anti-seize on the mating surface between the rim and the rotor.

Common problem.... Just give them a few swift kicks alternating from side to side and they will free up.

Overkill, sure wish you'd set up your gallery or do you have pictures posted elsewhere of your truck?

Rear Wheel removal

Thanks all,
Kicks, sledgehammer and other methods all failed. Finally after letting the WD40 soak in, I put an 8 foot 2x4 against the spring shackle and pulled hard against the back of the tire from behind the truck. Please note...2x2's snap too easily, I have the bruises to prove it. My wife got a real good laugh out of watching me try to put one foot on the axle hub and reach behind the tire and pull. 10 years ago it might have worked.
Thanks Again
