Ok, I'm giving this another shot, just wanted to see how many of the "big truck" people like me our out there. Seems like we are a growing minority.

Hate to rain on your parade Jon, but the F3 is listed in all the manuals as a HD 3/4 ton.

One tons were F4's.

I've actually seen it listed both ways. Most I have seen listed as a HD 3/4 ton, which some consider 1-ton, while the F-4 was the first offical 1-ton

Discrimination! I can only vote once

I play in several sandboxes, from F-100 thru F-800.

Like 286merc, I also have more than one truck. I have the 49 F3 which I have completly torn down to the chassis, and I have a 50 F1 which I intend to drive if I can get it started. I put the F3 in the poll.

Talk about disenfranchised voters! Is that a hanging chad I see??

BTW, as long as I stay on my diet, a half ton should be all I'll ever need!

Up in Canada the F-3 was a 1 ton. Anyways by todays standards the F-3 is just a 3/4 ton. Our '78 f-250 can hold just as much. The F-2 is like a 1/2 and the f-1 can hold only a little more than our '87 Mazda 1/4 ton.

Just as long as its not a hanging irondragon, I'll be fine.... wow, looks like I may have stirred up a hornets nest here between the weight classes. Luckily I know its all in good fun.

Should have also asked who is running Blue Oval or Orange slime in their truck, that would have really set them off !

I am currently building a 49 F-6 COE to replace my F 150 as my every day driver. The 2 ton chasis will out last me! I'll never wear it out using it as a pickup. As old Dad used to say, " There is no such thing as a truck too big for the job, just one that is too little ".

Well, its obvious that the little half ton boys are the majority, but its nice to see that there is a good number of the larger trucks being put into service.

Yes, I do agree that the larger trucks are becoming more popular due to the fact that the supply of the smaller trucks, at least those in salvageable condition are becoming less common, so I expect to see more of us in the coming years.
