I have 2011 F250 power stoke.

i thought the 1st generation had the serviceable ccv. I think mine is clogged as I'm getting smoke from the exhaust at idle. Also i removed the oil cap and smoke came out of there with pressure.

The early 6.7s, mine included, had no filter inside like Scott said. What may be happening is the bottom of the CCV where the "oil" is supposed to fall back into the engine is probably coked up from heat and blocked. You probably got many miles, err, kilometers on your truck I bet. You already buy a new one?

When I did mine, I removed the hot side pipe, and fuel filter as recommended in some videos. Some also recommend to loosen the fuel rail for the forward driver bolt on the ccv. I did not need to. This depends on the tools you have at hand. I replaced with the 23+ CCV. Mine is an 18. Good luck.

I believe the 23+ replaces all prior versions. If I am not mistaken 2011 has a sensor on it that the new ones do not. Check out a few videos on YouTube first. Check your local Ford stealer. I ordered mine from Extreme Diesel and saved $50.00. The back bolts are a PITA. The four bolts to the CCV are 10MM. I used a deep socket 10MM, 18" extension with a wobble on a 3/8" drive. Have fun and keep the cursing to minimum.

You mean the metal fuel line that runs to the CPP4? IIRC, there's a bolt there that holds them down, two lines, if memory serves me.

Correct. You don't have to remove them. Just enough to get the socket on.
