brake issue?

When got in the truck this morning and as is normal I step on the brake to start the truck I hear what sound like air, is this a symptom of air brake master cylinder going bad or brake vacuum assist going bad. Planning a cross country trip and I don't want to be stuck who knows where with an issue. Any thoughts and or remedies are appreciated.

Booster does that. runs on vacuum. you hear the air coming in. when it goes pop or a big whoosh, the bladder inside might be failing or vac line loose
