A reminder for all you super duties with a moon roof. Do your preventative maintenance. Takes about 15-20 minutes.
If you open you moon roof and hear a pop or crack, you've waited too long and will have an expensive repair bill. If you dont know how, I've attached a video on how simple it is.
Crap. I have not opened that window in six years. This could be an issue I see. I will have to do this for my truck and Navigator. I have not opened the Navigator in five years. More money to spend.

I will definitely be doing this. Had to replace the the track assemblies on my 2013 F150 sunroof because they cracked due to loss of lubrication. It involves removing the front seats, loosening/removing A, B, and C pillar covers, dropping the headliner, unplugging everything, and trying to finagle the sunroof assembly out of the cab. Then the actual repair. Then the reassembly.
You should easily get 10 years out of one 2oz tube. I don't use alcohol on rubber surfaces, so I clean mine with mild soap and water. I also put a bit on the metal frame molding of the truck in the areas where you can't reach the gasket. You use very little and just put a very light film on the surface.
I think the video could have been a lot better if it actually zoomed in on the parts where grease should be applied. I get what needs to be done - just did mine earlier this week, but it isn't real clear in this video despite the explanation. Maybe there is a better video someplace on YouTube.....
Opened it a few times when trying to figure out the drain leak (tube slipped off). The one time after that it hung up and had to stop and work the switch while pushing on that side. Got it opened and then closed it and that was it! That was four years ago.

I’ve found about 10+ different versions and not sure which one is actually the best of the bunch.
The Krytox GPL 205 is what was stated in the video. It is what was mentioned in the FORD TSB 16-0020 for Sunroof Maintenance. I figured I would give it a try.
