The front bumper on my 54 was looking a bit dull. So I taped it up and gave it 2 coats of Rusteoleum Universal gloss black. It sprays a nice wide pattern and has more of a trigger than a push button. It comes out nice and smooth.
I think Rustoleum has greatly improved their products. At one time I hated their paint, took forever to dry and dulled quickly. I've been using there primer/paint for a few years and it sprays and covers really nice and seems very duy. I've pained equipment I've made and knew was going to take a beating and surprisingly has lasted for a long time.
One I have noticed the last few years is the rattle can nozzles clog easier. I've tried to clean them but the valve at top of the can also seem to plug up. I've had to throw partially used can away.

So have I! I watched a YouTube video once showing you how to get paint out of a can that no longer sprayed.
After partially using a rattlecan, turn it upside down and spray until it no longer sprays paint. Wipe the nozzle orifice with a thinner soaked paper towel or rag, replace the plastic dust cap on the can and it will be ready to go again next time.
