About 10 days ago I had my truck aligned. The steering wheel was flat and level when pointing straight ahead. Since then I’ve gone over Somme very rough roads. Now the steering wheel is canted about 15 degrees to the left when going straight. Do I need to get the truck realigned? Or is there a simple adjustment I can do?
on my truck, the adjust barrel is nearest to the pax wheel side. Yes it connects to the pitman arm, but on my truck, the adjust is on the other end of that link.
i spray penetrated mine to get the threads cleaned up.
my truck has a 3.5 lift in the front with a pitman arm drop kit and I thought I ran out of threads on the adjust barrel since it would not turn anymore. More penetrate spray and the barrel turned where I needed it.
do not forget to retighten everything
and…check bolt ends to make sure they are not close to hitting anything. I was close on contact so I cut some threads off so I had 1 thread beyond the nut instead of what looked like 5.
