Supercrew Headlights

My 2001 Supercrew headlights are just not bright enough. Has anyone out there found brighter bulbs that don't cook the wires or put in any kind of projectors that give more light? My Ford dealer says they don't have anything here in Canada, so I'm stuck with aftermarket I guess. I'd like to get something like 60w/80w brightness.

Thanks

You might try these. Sylvania makes these SilverStar bulbs which are a brighter halogen bulb. This link is their Canada page so they should be available.
I put a pair in a 1997 Mazda and found them to be almost twice as much light and a much cleaner white light than stock bulbs. I paid $25 US for each bulb.

Thanks, I got a pair of Silverstars today & will put them in tomorrow. I'll give you the details after I test them out this weekend.

Hi again. Got delayed on my trip, but managed to get the Silverstars in before I went. They are really good! I was doing a lot of evening and early morning driving on gravel roads where lots of deer are a problem & I was able to see way better than before! I can't say how much brighter they are, but they seem about twice as bright as the factory bulbs. For $29 each I'm happy with the results.
