Grounding Wiring Question
On a 2003 F-250 5.4
New starter on new engine.
Old negative battery cable is bad.
The original negative cable goes from starter to frame then to negative battery terminal then to side truck frame right next to battery negative.
(Bolt with terminal spliced into cable between starter & battery.)
Can I run a new one from the starter negative to negative battery terminal then to side of truck skipping the larger frame negative below it?
If I have to I can solder in a splice off to go to larger frame ground.
