Ken, May and September would be good choices, but pack for all four seasons just to be ready for anything. I have been snowed on in June
and September in northern Utah Uinta mountains.
Here's a screen shot of our plan so far. Major attractions as noted below, the rest are gas stops.
Stop 9: Monument Valley
Stop 10: Horseshoe Bend
Stop 11: Zion
Stop 12: Bryce Canyon
Stop 13: Capital Reef
Stop 14: Canyonlands
Stop 15: Arches
Stop 16: Colorado National Monument
For #11 (Zion NP) check out the Willow Wind RV park in Hurricane UT. Beautiful park, lots of mature shade trees, but make reservations well in advance.

At your #10 stop, you aren't that far from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. If you haven't been there it's not a bad day trip. My son did it a couple years ago, they got one day in and the forest got closed due to possible fires. They got some great photos in only a few hours of sightseeing.

That's not a bad idea, thank you! We've been there, but not to the north rim. As long as I don't have to walk out on that overhung piece of plexiglass! LOL
