I’m replacing my corroded 7/4 way trailer plug and there seems to be a clip I am missing that holds the plug to the harness. I can press the plug into the harness tight enough that it makes contact, but without a clip to secure it I think it will vibrate loose. Anyone know if there is supposed to be a clip and where I could get one?
My sons 2015, he bought it used a few years ago, has this exact issue with the clip. His is missing as well which took some time to diagnose after fighting trailer wiring issues. I was able to clean both male & female plugs and push them together however not sure how long that will hold? My guess is you have to buy whatever end of the plug has the clip and replace it?
