I am new here and hope someone can help me out. I have a 1979 F150 I inherited from my Dad with 54K miles. I recently replaced the turn signal switch and now the flashers do not come on and the signals are not working. I replaced that switch thinking it was a faulty switch but that did not correct the issue. Is there any type of a relay that could have blown? I replaced the flasher and that did not correct anything. Is there anything I am missing? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to FTE
There are TWO different flashers. Both are round with 2 prongs, but the 4 way flasher is a H/D unit, has a louder CLICK
T/S flasher is located behind the left (drivers) side of dash below the headlight switch. 4 way flasher nestles into a bracket that is retained to the back side of the dash w/a screw.
Ford used the 4 way flasher in lieu of the T/S flasher for vehicles with trailer tow. Dealers installed the H/D flasher in lieu of the T/S flasher for customers that were deaf.
You should not use the T/S flasher in lieu of the 4 way flasher, because the T/S flasher is a "weak sister."
