I'm posting in this forum somewhat out of desperation. I purchased the, highly recommended on this forum, 5 Star tunes for my 2004 f250 V10. As many of you know they come loaded on an SCT device. Upon trying to load the tunes I encounter a host of error codes. I called 5 star with my concerns and they were quick to tell me it was a fault of the device and not they're programming and that I needed to call SCT. I questioned why they would sell a product they were unwilling to service but I was told it is not they're issue. I work in sales and service myself and cannot fathom selling a product I'm unwilling to service, but that's just me. So I attempt to contact SCT at which point I'm prompted to email them. I do this, and without getting into too much detail, this leads nowhere and I'm advised to call. I've been calling for two days and have yet to speak to a person. My hope is someone from one of these companies will see this post and attempt to help. For right now they both have a very disappointed customer with a very expensive devise that they can't use. I apologize for the long post I just don't know what to do at this point. PLEASE do not comment unless you can help with technical support on this issue. I'm frustrated enough and prefer not to hear snarky comments from the keyboard hotshots. Thank you.
Similar issues. I bought tunes from them ten years ago... couple years ago I put headers on my 2001...emailed them for updated tunes for headers...took six months of back and forth emails and me digging up original emails and receipts to get them to finally send me the tunes. Was a PIA.
I had a small issue when I bought mine, and they also sent me straight to SCT. SCT responded promptly and corrected the issue, so it is possible that they are the necessary route to go through.

Weird. I had in issue with five star on my SCT as well. I guess my issue was a little bit different though. My fuel economy tune was shifting at 4k rpm. I sent them an email and they sent over a corrected tune. SCT, on the other hand, is a different story. I was trying to get the software to connect my tuner to my computer after i had to replace my computer and they refused to send it to me. It is no longer available on their website. They told me my tuner was pre-california emissions update so they no longer support it. I told them I am in Virginia and I need to access the tunes on my device with my computer. They basically told me "too bad, buy a new tuner".
