I followed the diagram for these particular mounts, got everything in and I started to put large washer on first but it was too large and was not laying flat because of mounting arm had high points on the sides. Should I get a smaller washer for underneath top washer or will the one washer suffice?
If I remember right that large washer goes between the rubber mount and the engine. The small washer is correct see the bottom washer plate. The top of that mount will have a impregnated washer in the rubber if I remember that large washer goes on top of that. I coated that washer with a thin coat of Lubriplate. AJ
The way it is shown in your picture is correct. Assuming you have the correct bolt, tighten it until it bottoms on the shoulder to properly preload the rubber.
I'm not sure from the responses if to use the large washer or not. In the photo, I have the large washer not being used. One says to leave as shown in photo without large washer. One says to put large washer on top of rubber under motor mount. What is the consensus from everyone which way it should it go? Maybe I'm just having a brain fart day?
Yep. That's the image I was working from originally. It would be nice if the illustrations I've found and this one, showed the actual motor mount and if the large washer goes on top of rubber or on top of motor mount. I think it would make more sense having the large washer on top of rubber under motor mount to make the rubber last longer. I think I'm going that route.
