Is this normal?

this evening i was greasing front end parts. I noticed underneath my truck behind the starter and slightly under it and above the oil filter, it is slightly slightly damp, not dripping, running, etc. I touched it and my finger had oil on it. 17, 008 miles on it. Could this be from when I changed my oil, 4k miles ago?

Don't some of the upper oil pan leaks show in that same location? I wouldn't think it would be from an oil change since the fill is on the opposite side.

I would clean up all the area with some brake cleaner and check back after a week or two. Also use a good flashlight and inspect everything under there...follow the oil.

As far as from when you changed oil depends on how sloppy you are when changing the oil. When I'm done doing oil changes on the 7.3 or 6.7 there is no oil on anything at all but that's me.

well it was clean a week ago in that spot, up there but, Biggest ugly problem is oil pan, blowing back on trans cooler, etc. Want to get it all looked at at one time, but I'll be without a truck for 4-6 weeks as that is just the "wait time" at dealerships here. Probably do pan myself. Isn't the 2020+ lower oil pans a rubber gasket?

Did you check to see if any of the bolts were loose?

bolts are tight, checked them 3 times, and just did today. Its leaking from the bolt holes. Main concern now though is that oil by starter, hope it don't get worse!

The 2020+ went to a gasket on the upper oil pan but I think they continued to use a sealant on the lower pan.

I would just live with it until the dealership can fix it under warranty. If you work on it and it continues to leak, it’s no longer Ford’s problem.

nake appt and continue to drive until that time to fix it. I think there is a leak.

they could put some dye in the oil to help locate it. Ask for that now.

I ran into this with my Front Diff when I added the Dual Stabilizers. Oil started leaking out through the bolt holes. Very poor RTV job on the part of Ford. They wouldn't warranty it, so I just cleaned it up and resealed it myself. Always makes you feel good about the truck tho...
