I’m I’m the process of hooking up my three gauges (oil pressure, water and transmission temperatures)
The sending units of the tranny and water temps are installed with wires connecting and to the firewall.
two questions:
first , in watching a video , the channel hooked their power to there one gauge being installed to a fuse that is switched off when the key is off and power on when the key is turned.
can I hook 3 gauges for power to that( will have a fuse in between as well) with out overloading that fuse?
the fuse in question is the “10” above to the right of the round chimer I believe
second question , where is the best place to go through the firewall ?
Find a rubber grommet with penetration thru your firewall bring your gauge wires thru that. There should be 1 around the heater box area and a couple around the pedal area. Your gauges should not draw to much power. I not sure which models you purchased. I always added a relay at the gauge's to power the lights in them and made 1 tap at the fuse box with add a fuse circuit hardware.
