What's wrong with the factory setup?
are you having problems with it?
Like Helifixer said us a rear Bronco that's a 38 gallon tank. I'm running a C&C fuel tank from an 07 on the rear and kept the front one, lots of miles with 60+ gallons of fuel.
Factory setup is a PITA to rehab. Selector valves, disintegrating fuel pickups. Just did mine. On a fun factor scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it about a -3. I kept the factory setup from what I can tell changing to the single larger rear tank setup necessitates relocation of the spare. I didn't feel like doing that.

well there used to be a company that made a larger front tank, I had one in my 91 f250, I think it was 40 gallons. I paid less for the truck than the previous owner paid for the tank, but it might still be an option. Or I could sell my 91 to someone who needs a big front tank.
just replaced selector vavle month ago.everything good.know back tank dumping in front tank.....think one tank alot eassier too deal with.gonna check on 40 gallon replacement for 1999.poly tank, same straps an sending unit.see if it will fit my 1997.get rid of valve all together.

There's a chance that the new valve got contaminated by broken shower debris. I know the one I replaced while doing the In Tank Mods had broken plastic form the shower head had the same symptoms as yours, so might be a "simple" fix that needs to be address anyways and you will be able to keep both your tanks.
Here's a thread I started doing the little project
too answer both questions.rock auto, lts a dorman, same pretty much as everywere else.an also the debris thing mite be rite.back tank only goes to 1/4 then runs out.guys told me umbrella ???? maybe broke.also white dorman same as one on truck.I love truck, never have motor, tranny or any big problems.always stupid ****,mainly electrical. But back too tanks.front tank leaks if you fill all the way, back tank runs out at 1/4.I think just go one new tank, replace everything too tank.1999 F250 have 37/40 galon tank in back.need too find out if will work in my 1997.
