I ordered a set of spoologic 304 ss up pipes. They did not come with any directions on how and where to install the flat gasket and the donut gasket. The flat gasket goes in the collector but where does the donut go? The videos I've watched do not show where it is supposed to go, they show no gasket between up pipes and manifolds.
Am a retired truck driver with limited mechanical knowledge and need some help. Cannot take it to a shop as it is just the chassis, getting it ready for a lil pete kit in August.
The crush white fiber gasket installs at the top of each up pipe at the collector. The ends of the white fiber gasket are slightly different. At least it seemed to me. One side tapers a little longer, and I installed that side towards the collector. The ends at the manifold takes no gaskets. When you install these work your way up from the top down, leaving the bottom hardware at the manifolds loose while you're working at the top first. Doing this will allow you to wiggle and adjust everything in place at the top collector turbo area.
The most important part of the install is the connection where the crush gaskets go. You won't easily be able to get access to those after the install so make sure they're sealed up
Found out my kit goes into production approximately the 1st of July, so should start in August putting it together.
Had a friend helping me put rear brakes on and son-in-law of a friend was watching, got to asking about up pipes, next thing I knew he was putting them together for me. Had to buy 1/2 moon wrenches to tighten bolt on collector. all looking good , waiting for kit and wanting to get truck running.
