Up Pipe Gasket

So I have had a box of bellowed up pipes sitting waiting to get installed. The factory originals are barely leaking but like lots of people I have lots of time now so why not. Cracked open the box today and I am missing a gasket. Does anyone know if I can just buy the gasket? Either through ford, Dorman, international? I saw RiffRaff has the international version as a set. But I really only need one gasket. Is there a dorman gasket alone? Or a ford?

also does it matter which gasket I use? Say if I have a set of international pipes can I use a dorman gasket or vise versa?

Hey man, Are you absolutely sure your missing a gasket? I helped a buddy about 2 months ago with his up-pipes and he thought he was missing one too. But it was two on the same side of the new up-pipes. Double check if you don't mind.

I double checked before posting. My bolts and nuts are in a bag the pipes are each in bags as it the Y pipe and then on a piece of cardboard with shrink wrap is the gasket. Opened the gaskets and there is only one. I know they are thin metal so I tried everything short of bending it to see if it was stuck together. No luck. The advance auto near me has the dorman bolt gasket set for like 60$ and before I drive over I figured I would inquire. Might take the gasket I have because the supposedly have the gasket for the 6.0 and might check to see if it’s the same size. Otherwise I’ll call the vendor I got it from last year and see if they have any ideas tomorrow. Once I have the turbo off I’ll probably find something else to change out that I’ll have to order. It’s really getting up there in miles now just barely hit 89k after 19 years.

How much in a hurry are you for them. Probably a funny question. My wife is from Michigan. She wants everything 5 minutes ago. But the folks you ordered from should have provided two. They may rush you another! 89K? I got a push mowers that doesnt even run anymore with that many miles.

No rush I have nothing else to do right now. Well I do actually. I’m replacing slide topper awning fabrics on our Montana 3750fl and then I’m going to redo the roof on the thing so unless the camper is magically done in a week I’m in no rush for the gasket. At the same time the only place I can really take the camper is out of the garage so yeah no rush right now.
And yes 89,167.8 we probably put about a 1/5 of those on it last year camping from June till September non stop and a bunch of short trips from Jan-June and then from Sept to Dec.

I bought a set of Dorman up pipes on eBay a while back for CHEAP, because they were ‘missing a gasket’. I had an extra gasket because sometimes they stick and you get extras. Well, sure enough, the ones I bought had 2 gaskets stuck together. SCORE!

Meanwhile, you can buy SS up-pipes for under $100 (with gaskets). So paying a high price for gaskets is crazy. Start by hitting the seller up for what you paid for.
