4th digit of the VIN is the engine code: 1951/53: M = 254 I-6 // 1950 254 I-6 engine code is not listed.

While you're searching, you can look for old farm trucks in your area. The 254 was found exclusively in F6 trucks from 1950-52, and '53 F600's. It might be easier to find an old truck in a farmer's field than someone with a 254 in their garage laying around. I've parted out a few of them in the past, but all my 254 stuff is long gone. The 50-52's with the 254 also came with the elusive syncro-silent transmission, worth a couple of coin to the guys looking for them.

Value will vary greatly with condition. Does it run? If so, how well? Compression test? History? Miles/hours? Receipts? Is the trans a T9 or a T98?
