Nice...Like the color too. Purple, but not slap you in the face bright deep purple...
I see you also borrowed the mirrors off a 80's ford truck. I did the same on mine a while back. Sure like em. Look decent, and if something hits them, or I need to get around them, they easily fold in. And easily fold back out to the lock "detent" point, so don't have to mess around to reset the aim of the mirrors. Like em much better than the old tripod mount things I used to have. MK

Wow, thanks for all the comments. I'm not a bragger, but yeah, everyone tells me "Nice truck" everywhere I go, the biggest comment going to the color, especially from the girls. To answer some of questions:
Maybe someone (hint to wife) will buy me a digital camera for Christmas so I can take more pics of under the hood and inside.
It was lowered by cutting 1 loop out of the front coils and rebending the I-beams back to spec. Wheel alignment is right on. The rear was lowered by extending the rear shackles (which face up) just clear of the bottom of the box. I can't remember if I had a leaf removed (it only has 5). The front 1/2 of the springs have been clapped in an attempt to prevent wheel hop, but didn't really work. The clamps do help with lowering the rear a bit though.
The mirrors are off a Ranger, so their not full size.
No I don't know where there is another short box for sale. These trucks are rare in these parts. I've never seen another one like it on Vancouver Island, and haven't seen too many of this body style on any of the Ford truck websites.
Thanks

Hurst Competion Plus shifter mounted to a plate to move it ahead on the trans tailshaft, shorted the linkage rods & notched the bench seat to allow some room to shift. Can't move the seat all the way forward, so no short people (i.e. wife) allowed to drive it. She thinks I did it on purpose. There's a method to my madness.
Now just have to figure out how to keep my 6' tall 16 year old son from behind the wheel. I've got another '67 thats a beater for him.

Thats a great looking truck! I also have a 67 short box. they are real rare around here (the rust belt) my truck came from arkansas and when I got it it had rust holes in the corners of the doors about 1/2 the size of a computer mouse. this was my first build and I'm real proud of the way it turned out. I hope you dont plan on driving the thing during the winter
