Try disconnecting the battery for a few seconds, and connect it again
If you replaced what was wrong or needed servicing it will go off

disconnect batery put key in ignition turn it to times you will see the oil pressure gauge go down afther theat connect battery back it takes less then 10 sec i did it when i had problem with overdrive flasshy thing

If your CEL came on, it's better if you take it to Autozone and find out what the problem is than just pulling the bulb off. In NC, the emissions inspection requires the tester to plug into the engine computer to see if the CEL came on. If the computer found a code, you will not pass inspection.
If you take it to Autozone, they'll find out what the problem is and will erase the code for ya. Just fix the problem and your CEL won't come on again.
