What to build

Hey guys I've got a 352 block 30 over probably needs to be bored again cuz I got one bad cylinder so why question is what should I do with this thing I'm working for legendary racer Fe guy engine builder Jay Biddle at JBA Racing and Motorsports and there's a wide selection of cranks 428,390s there's heads all over the place all kinds of performance parts what should I do with this thing it's going into 63 unibody that's going to be pretty low to the ground with manual transmission take it 50 over build a 428 390 410. I'm like a kid in a candy store and need some focus.

What do you want?

You can do a 390 or 410, but you won't be able to bore it far enough to make the 428 bore.

You can go up to about 438 with the 4.05 bore and the max (I think max) 4.25" stroker crank.

You do not need all that to get your truck well past the brakes, suspension and steering, but....

Just look at the parts list for these, and pick and choose what you like.

Build the largest engine. If they have a decent 428 block and crank that would be a good start.

410 has a nice ring to it, and if your block good enough add some spicy heads and intake and build something nice and save buying another block.

Need to use my block, none of those laying around, especially not for the price of mine. (Free)

- Custom pistons will allow you to dial in the compression ratio, use more efficient rings, and since you can have them in any diameter you'll only have to remove enough cylinder metal to clean the cylinders.
- Roller cam which will eliminate break in concerns and allow you to use a modern oil that I believe will give you a bump in fuel economy.
