Okay, injector inspection is on list of to do's. Pcv valve is clear, actually when I blew on either side the side that offered resistance was still allowing leakage, not sure if that is a problem. Thanks for the sensor website and the pcv system website y'all, they are very helpful.

Anyone have a picture to offer of the same engine& systems that would help me to identify the canister purge solenoid valve? I am having trouble identifying/locating it to check it's function. I don't think that my truck has one tracing The Purge hoses back from the charcoal canister I find no sensors or solenoids or anything electrically in those hoses it just goes from the charcoal canister up under my intake manifold and wise into two hoses connected to the throttle body.

Nvrmnd I was in wrong setting. In 20kohm setting I am getting 3.2 now warmed up, will check when cool again but that seems to be in spec so far.

Currently testing my TPS. I'm getting my five volt DC reference signal. Whenever I test my signal voltage I'm getting nothing. I also don't understand why the book says positive to one side and negative to the other and it doesn't tell you which side does what and the wiring diagram doesn't help with that either which one is sending and which one is receiving but should it really matter?. I am also doing the test with the key on and getting nothing closed throttle or open throttle. I proceed to disconnect the TPS and ohm out the potentiometer and close throttle I am getting 1.00 with my meter set to 20K ohms, wot 4.17 ohm in 20kohm setting. Safe to say TPS out of wack?? Or am I not testing correctly? Book says throttle closed should read 3-4k ohms, wot should be ~350 ohms. Seems I am getting opposite readings. It also says new or reinstall would need adjustment, would simply re adjust of TPS fix this you think?
If I had accidentally, not knowing what wire did what checked for voltage from the signal wire to one of the other wires will it have messed anything up?

Check this link out also and see if the procedure ads anything. I also don't think the poles matter Positive and negative.

So basically it's a useless environmental crap that doesn't affect my fuel efficiency or idle? Anyway moving my focus to the positive crankcase ventilation that is my first test but would it affect the fuel efficiency or idle??
The Thermactor Air system pumps fresh air into the catalytic converter during warm up to get the converter up to temperature faster. It then injects air upstream into either the heads or exhaust manifolds to help burn any fuel that made it through the combustion process. The PCV system is to vent the crankcase as well as circulate fresh air from the air box into the crankcase. It then sends the oil vapor into the intake manifold to be burned.

The ‘89 does not but the ‘94 did. Where is it on your ‘91 that the OP does not see it?

It is probably under the upper intake manifold, cleverly hidden.

Got new TPS and it is behaving same as old one, going up in resistance as throttle is opened which is opposite of what book says it should be doing.
also now that truck has cooled getting 28.6 k ohm on ect, book says should be 58,750-40,500 ohms but it is 72 degrees here, seem normal??

Ohm setting with leads in the sig out and return, black and green on the sensor side. Vehicle harness side colors change. On and off throttle body, rotating the potentiometer. I watched a few YouTube videos last night and it seems everyone else's TPS behave this way as well but the way it is described in the Haynes book says ohm readings should go down from ~3-4k ohm at closed to ~350ohm open.
