2017 6.7 with 125k. drove for awhile with check engine light on and code p2200. replaced the front nox sensor a bit ago. cleared codes and 10 miles later same code and light came on. cleared again and it lasted a bit longer but came back on. i have a cheaper handheld scanner, would a mechanics scanner tell me more or better where/what my problem is since i dont think its the nox sensor since i replaced it?
Check the fuse for that nox sensor in your bjb. I don’t remember that exact fuse number but I believe it’s a 20 amp. Also check the connector for water intrusion, there’s a tsb for that connector and the other associated connectors taking on water. Service pigtails are available now though so no need for the whole harness. A lot of times I’ve been finding the heating element in the sensor shorts to the body of the sensor and blows the fuse.
Well hadn’t thought about a fuse-
nor the wire connector/harness
thanks
weekend sleuth work……
thinking about the fuse I believe it powers some other things as well so it may not be that. I do no that connector is a bit of a pita to get seated sometimes though.
