Hard on the brake

I was parked at a red light. The vehicles in front of me started going so I went. I moved about 3 feet and the truck just came to an abrupt stop. The guy behind me nearly rear ended me. The cars in front were pulling away so it wasn't like the gap between them and me was narrowing. Needless to say, I turn off the pre-collision braking, and it hasn't happened since. It was a little nerve wracking because it took about 10 seconds for the brakes to release which sitting there felt like 10 minutes. Anyone else have this issue?

The same thing happened to me the day I got the truck. I turned the sensitivity to low and it didn't happen again in that type of situation. Ultimately I turned it off completely along with front brake assist because it would engage and be a nuisance when parking in my driveway next to other cars. Except now I get a 'front brake assist disabled' warning every time I start the truck, which is also a nuisance.

Man, you guys have to start including exactly what truck/specs you are talking about!!!
I take it this is a new '23?
