I’m replacing my exhaust manifolds and I was hoping maybe I could make my engine a bit less bulky/clean my engine bag up a little. I’m not looking for any power gains, just a nice stainless/aluminized exhaust to replace the stock manifolds with. Can anyone recommend any that would bolt on the the factory exhaust configuration?I don’t want long tube headers, just a drop in and bolt on if possible. I’m not entirely sure if this would vary by the emissions system on the vehicle but it’s rear wheel drive and the VIN is 1FTEF15Y0TLA73378.
FYI
An up grade for the old log exh manifoldis to run the EFI exh manifolds.
That is what I did on my 81 F100 with a 4.9 / 300 six.
I also went with a 94 Y pipe on back to the tail pipe, less cat, as it is larger dia. than the 81 pipes.
I changed out the factory replacement muffler, to quite, for a Thrush welded muffler and I like the sound.
Nice mellow deepish sound.

Thanks for all the input everyone. Yes it’s already the EFI split manifolds so I may look into ceramic coating. I’m trying to chase down an exhaust leak and I’m thinking I may replace the manifolds due to some pitting where they contact the gasket. I’m not sure if it’s too much pitting or if it would be acceptable.
This is the manifold for cyl 1-3 after a light hone with some 120 grit paper glued to a 2x4
Also I am going to have to figure out something for the EGR tube as I ended up cutting it to get it out since it was seized in the manifold. I may reweld it and the part seems to be unobtanium.
Yes but it doesn’t look too hard to weld as long as I can get the angles right. If not maybe some gas line? As for the exhaust manifolds themselves can I just get a friend to machine the flange down past the pitting? I’m not sure how strict these exhaust tolerances are but if I maybe took it down like 1/16 inch it might get most of the pitting. I am open to buying new ones too but am unsure where I can find reputable new ones. Any suggestions?
Also most importantly which gasket brand? Fel-Pro? Remflex? Victor Reinz? I have heard good stuff about fel-pro for these but if there is an even better option I will opt for it.
